Two competitions, one hall, and since 2003 the same September fixture.

The Foire Européenne de Strasbourg hosts two distinct gastronomic competitions every September in the Village des Délices at the exhibition centre, organised independently by Alsace's trade federations.

The Meilleure Bouchée à la Reine d'Alsace competition has been held since 2003, open to traditional restaurant professionals: around a dozen restaurateurs present one of the region's emblematic dishes. The Fédération des Chefs d'Alsace helps organise it.

The Knack d'Or competition, organised by the Fédération des bouchers-charcutiers-traiteurs d'Alsace, is reserved for its members and judges their craftsmanship with the saucisse de Strasbourg.
