Concours national des Huiles d'Olive en Appellation d'Origine

National competition for PDO olive oils

All of France's olive-growing appellations brought together in a single tasting room, at the foot of the olive trees of Nyons.

Each year, the Concours national des Huiles d'Olive en Appellation d'Origine brings together PDO (AOP) produce from French olive growing. It is organised by France Olive — the interprofessional organisation, formerly AFIDOL — alongside the Institut du Monde de l'Olivier, and is held at the Maison des Huiles d'Olive et Olives de France, in Nyons in the Drôme.

The competition does not judge oil alone: its categories cover virgin and extra virgin oils, seasoning oils and flavoured oils, as well as table olives, olive pastes and tapenades. The 2026 edition rewarded 119 oils with 37 medals, and its list of winners is published by category.
